Aboriginal Diabetes Programs and Services

Suzanne is a Certified Diabetes Educator  providing One –to-one Nutritional counseling , Physical fitness programming ( child and adult)

  • Equipment and supplies
  • Sponsorship for community members to annual Aboriginal Diabetes Conference
  • Resourcing with Penticton Integration health unit
  • Community presentations, Health promotion in Band schools, adult education, band staff
  • Breakfast for Learning program, nutrition to Band members attending public school, band school
  • Healthy menu planning for community events , health activities
  • Sponsorship, promotion of community – “Get Active” initiatives
  • Diabetes Learning Circle
