WELCOME TO THE PENTICTON INDIAN BAND (PIB) HEALTH DEPARTMENT

The Penticton Indian Band (PIB) Health Department currently employs nine (9) Band Members and five (5) non band members, all providing services and resources to the Penticton Indian Band community members. The PIB Health department provides a varying list of Health Services to the community including - programming, workshop facilitatioin, resource libraries and liasion services with outside agencies.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Penticton Indian Band Health department is to offer and promote health services to enable the community members to achieve health and wellness.

VISION FOR COMMUNITY HEALTH AND WELLNESS

That every community member has the physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual strength to support the health and wellness of the individual, family and community; and

That every family unit within the community is empowered with the knowledge and resources to make healthy choices in their journey through the continuum of health and wellness; and

That our community is rich in its capacity to support; spiritual, cultural, educational, employment, and recreational opportunities that promote active, healthy lifestyles.
